Understanding Diabetes: Beyond Blood Sugar
Diabetes is about more than a number on a glucose monitor.
It involves how the body produces or responds to insulin, how glucose is regulated, and how genetics, environment, health conditions, behaviours, medications, pregnancy, and other factors can shape risk and management.
Yet public conversations about diabetes can easily become reduced to food, weight, and individual choices.
CliniQPath wants to help broaden that conversation.
Through education, workshops, and collaborative programming, we're exploring how diabetes information can be communicated in ways that are scientifically grounded, practical, and relevant to people's everyday lives.
A Glimpse Into the Conversation
We've developed an introductory presentation exploring diabetes through the lens of health literacy, prevention, everyday decision-making, and patient understanding.
It is not intended to replace individualized medical guidance. It provides a starting point for conversations that can be expanded through collaboration with healthcare professionals and subject-matter experts.

Where We Want to Take This
Diabetes education becomes stronger when different perspectives come together.
CliniQPath is interested in collaborating with diabetes educators, pharmacists, dietitians, physicians, nurses, researchers, community organizations, employers, and other professionals working across diabetes prevention, treatment, education, and patient support.
Together, these collaborations can help shape:
Workshops and community conversations · Workplace education · Expert-led sessions · Patient and public resources · Digital learning · Awareness initiatives

For Diabetes Awareness Month and beyond, our goal is to connect expertise with communication that people can understand, trust, and use.
